Like a lighthouse at the edge of the sea, Outreach Centers are a beacon for weary travelers beaconing to come closer; rest. Abide a while in this shelter from the storm. What matters most right now isn't the size of the wave that brought me here, but that I'm here. Remind me what love feels like with a smile, something to eat, a hot shower; help me get my boat back in the water. Locate, and support a shelter near you.
Houses of Worship opening their hearts and doors on the coldest of nights to street dwellers. Cots with pillows and blankets lined up one, two, three. A cup of hot chocolate or coffee says welcome you are home. 'Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. And 'Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me'. We don't just spread the Gospel around the world... we live it.
Golden and red are the colors of the forest.
Time to shed the leaves as the earth welcomes
its blanket for the slumber ahead. Discarding
their harvests onto the cooling ground. Foraging
through natures bounty to store up for the winter.
One last jaunt before the days turn dimmer.
The voices are becoming fewer.
As we prepare for that long nap, a peacefulness
is settling in. Its time to go inside and dream
a new dream.
Give in a way the mind has difficulty wrapping itself around.
What would I do for myself I wouldn't for another.
Love... there's nothing like it.
The heart and its many levels of expression, are witnessed through the love
one shows towards another.
Unconditional love, deeper and wider than the distance between stars, is limited when we give it only to a chosen few, holding us back from experiencing the fullness of our capacity, that goes beyond understanding.
Every day being important, alleviates the necessity to have a special one
in order to be thankful, contemplative.
It is indeed my life that matters so much, for what I do affects
touches you in ways I may never know.
My heart is what I most want to give you, and then take you with me
into the next moment... tomorrow.
This in itself is reason enough to care very much
about all the ' little things ' I do... today.
